Grieve With Those Who Are Grieving

Mem Day Bold As Memorial Day approaches, we are reminded of the opportunity we occasionally have to grieve with those who are grieving the loss of someone special. Sending sympathy flowers or funeral flowers during a such a sad time can be a true comfort to the family who has recently lost someone special. Sympathy flowers can be sent directly to the family's home, while funeral flowers are best sent to the memorial service itself or the graveside. The floral designers at Zeidler's Flowers have beautiful arrangements prepared specifically for sympathy or funeral occasions. Read More about Grieve With Those Who Are Grieving

The Spirit Of Memorial Day

Zeidler's Flowers joins our Evansville community in reflecting on the brave efforts of the men and women who died in service to country, protecting and preserving our nation's values and making our lives better for it. Many of us have been personally impacted by the loss of a soldier, and on Memorial Day, we experience both the sadness of our loss as well as a sense of hopeful patriotism and admiration. We attend parades and ceremonies that allow us to collectively mourn and reflect, and we also gather together with friends and family in each other's homes to embrace the people in our lives now even as we remember the ones we have lost. The flowers and other decor we bring to the events we host should capture the spirit of Memorial Day. Read More about The Spirit Of Memorial Day

Remembering With Memorial Day Designs

Memorial Day was established in the years following the Civil War, and for decades the observance was known as Decoration Day. Although originally a remembrance of Civil War fighters, after World War I the scope was expanded, and the name changed to Memorial Day. In 1971, Memorial Day was officially designated a national holiday, honoring the sacrifices of those heroes who died during the commission of their military service. This month, Americans will once again show their respects to those lost, as well as acknowledge family members who may still grieve. Zeidler's Flowers is privileged to assist you in finding the most beautiful and meaningful flowers to honor them this May 29.  Read More about Remembering With Memorial Day Designs
