Galentine’s Day is a fictional holiday that sprang into being during an episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, which had main character Leslie Knope gathering all of her ladies up for a long lunch, giving them all gifts and proclaiming it “Galentines . . . Only the best day of the year!” Leslie’s idea was that we should celebrate the female friendships and camaraderie in our lives the day before we celebrate the romantic love we have for our partners. And it’s that concept that we here at Zeidler’s Flowers really like.
So, you’re going to want to get your girls some flowers, and not of the red-roses variety (there will be plenty of those for them the next day, fingers crossed). Instead, pick up something lighthearted and sweet, just like your relationship. Because there are no expectations here in terms of what you should give, you can afford to have a little fun, which is exactly what our Daisy Jane is doing.
This sweet arrangement of pastel daisies has an adorable bow and a little butterfly accent, adding some character and whimsy to the piece. When you’re thinking through what to send the women you love, consider their tastes and preferences – after all, you probably know them better than anyone else. Otherwise, keep the look feminine and spirited, the kind of design that anyone would love to have around.
