Mother’s Day at Zeidler’s Flowers

Mother's DaySince the earliest recorded cultures, people have revered their mothers. Although there have been different ceremonies over the years, the holiday that we celebrate as the modern day Mother’s Day most likely has no connection to any of them. In 1908, a woman named Anna Jarvis began to push for a national holiday to honor mothers; her dream was realized in 1914. Ironically, after the day became a wildly popular and commercialized event, Ms. Jarvis spent the latter half of her life trying to remove the day from the calendar.

Mother's DayAlthough some may find the widespread celebration of Mother’s Day commercial, there is no doubt that it remains a time-honored way to thank Mom for all the ways she has cared for you throughout the years. From the earliest moments as babies; to the conversations as adults over coffee, no one has our back like our Mom. Flowers are a perfect way to honor our mothers because their beauty and meaning mirror her love and devotion. Give her pink roses to express gratitude or orchids which represent beauty and thoughtfulness,

Choose from one of our featured floral arrangements developed especially for Mother and her special day. Perhaps a bouquet showcasing her favorite color, or a favorite flower, so she will know that you picked something that would be extra special, and meaningful to her.

Mother's DayIt is said that a mother considers none of her sacrifices a burden; rather she only sees what she has gained for the joy of having a child. Return that joy to her this Mother’s Day, and send her a bouquet of gorgeous flowers to let her know that no matter how many years pass, you still cherish being her child. Zeidler’s Flowers has the striking bouquets, green plants and inspired gifts that will make Mom smile this May 8th.
