What cheers you up most when you’re sick, aside from a good nap? Flowers, of course.
Here at Zeidler’s Flowers we’re well aware of the many benefits of fresh blooms on the mind, body and soul, and science backs us up. A 2008 study by the American Society of Horticultural Science found that hospitalized patients who have flowers or a potted plant in their rooms are less reliant on pain medication and have lower blood pressure overall when compared to their flower-less counterparts. Clearly, flowers offer a lot to people who are under the weather, from oxygenating the air to adding an element of nature to a room.
We say go for bold, colorful arrangements that invoke the rainbow. Our Festive Big Hug is a terrific example of what we mean in that it uses a variety of blooms – among them daisies, lilies and carnations – to make a lush and pretty display. We’ve tucked them into a simple light green vase that is enwrapped by a snugly bear, making this an irresistibly cute gift.
