The unsung heroes of the Evansville community are doing their part, showing up every day to teach, encourage, inspire, mentor, comfort, and strengthen those on their watch. These are the world changers who rarely make the news, the ones who may never be named but are making a difference one person at a time. In May, Zeidler’s Flowers celebrates and honors both teachers and nurses, two very different professions with one very big thing in common – their hearts for people.

National Nurses Week is May 6- May 12, 2017 :

National Nurses Week begins its weeklong festivities on May 6, also known as Nurses Day. The week culminates on May 12 annually, as it is Florence Nightingale’s birthday. There are over 3.1 million nurses in the United Stated, but this commemoration is your chance to send a very special nurse some personal gratitude. From the joy of a baby’s arrival to the challenges of an illness, nurses are by our side. No one else is better qualified to bring such competence, experience, mental strength, and sheer compassion into every shift – nurses are truly the cornerstone of any medical facility.
