Featured in the photo below is Ken Becker, manager of  Zeidler’s Wholesale Division with the season’s first shipment of grave blankets.  The grave blankets are decorated with red velvet ribbon, pine cones, and silk flowers in some cases, for display at cemeteries during the holiday season.  Zeidler’s has been helping customers with this tradition for many years.   History tells us they were used to decorate grave sites in the winter, when flowers were not available or too fragile to withstand the bitter cold. Traditional grave blankets were used in the late fall and winter and were most popular during the Christmas season.   It is believed the placing of this special blanket symbolizes the comfort and warmth of our love that can never die.
