On January 31st, 2015 our local hockey team, the Evansville Icemen, hosted a fundraiser for our local chapter of the Susan G. Komen foundation.  It was a “sea of pink” that night at the Ford Center, from pink towels to pink cheerleading cones. We at Zeidler’s are proud to have donated pink carnations for them to sell and raise money for the cause as well.  

During the Icemen game Friday evening, the public was invited to donate $5 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. They could then paint a loved one’s name who has been effected by Breast Cancer on the ice.  Those names remained in place for Saturday nights’ Pink the Rink game. The names were covered by a few thin layers of water in order to protect them throughout the duration of the game.
