On September 10th, we celebrate National Grandparents Day, a time set aside to honor the legacy and enduring relationship between families. Originally conceived by Marian McQuade – a grandmother herself – the day is meant to be a time of gathering, of reunions, of stories and of sharing. There is perhaps no more precious relationship than that between grandparents and their grandchildren; and Zeidler’s Flowers has a very special flower in order to celebrate.
We Are Proud to Introduce: The ranunculus flower (whose family includes the buttercup) comes in many varieties. It is a petite, delicate flower which offers abundant paper thin, ruffly petals in bold colors. The flowers make a wonderful bouquet, opening up into a lavish, long lasting blooms.
The ranunculus signifies radiant charm, which we think is an ideal sentiment with which to honor your grandmother!
Special Grandparents Deserve Special Flowers: Grandparents are pretty awesome. Over three-quarters of them report that being a grandparent is the best thing that has happened in their life, and over 90% admit to speaking about their grandkids at least once a day. Grandparents head up nearly 40% of the households in America, and the number is rising as a trend towards traditional multi-generation living seems to be catching on. And their reputation for spoiling the grandchildren appears to be correct, as they spend over $52 billion dollars per year on the younger generation.
This September, take the time to spend some time as a family, explore and celebrate your heritage and history. Don’t forget the flowers to thank Grandma and Grandpa for all they do! We recommend that you come in and take a look at our newest favorite flower, the ranunculus. It makes a gorgeous display, worthy of this very special relationship. In fact, if you stop by, we will be happy to give you a stem just to introduce you!
No matter your floral choice, you can be sure that the most beautiful arrangements and bouquets in Evansville are at Zeidler’s Flowers.
