Veterans Day, observed annually on November 11, celebrates all those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Unlike Memorial Day,which honors those who lost their lives in the service, Veterans Day recognizes all those who have ever been in the military. This U.S. federal holiday is observed on the same day as similar holidays around the world. Remembrance Day and Armistice Day also commemorate the end of World War I, which officially ceased on November 11, 1918, at 11 a.m.
Most of us know several veterans, whether from decades ago, or from recent service. Patriotic bouquets are a respectful way to acknowledge your Soldier, Airman, Sailor or Marine. The Freedom Bouquet from Zeidler’s will tastefully grace any home or office, showing off American pride with a red, white and blue display.
Of course, some of our Veterans are no longer with us. Remember them to their family on this day with this elegant and beautiful tribute to their life, or one of our other patriotic tribute bouquets.
If you would like to create your own bouquet or floral arrangement, there are several floral gifts that have special significance on this day, and are appropriate for men as well as women. A bamboo plant represents not only good luck, but strength and loyalty; while the gladiolus stands for a great warrior, one with impeccable strength of character. A palm plant stands for victory and success, and can also be a fitting accolade for your hero.
Whether your gift is red, white and blue, or symbolically represents the virtue of your veteran, Zeidler’s Florist of Evansville has the perfect expression of gratitude for their service. And please let them know for us, we too offer gratitude for their service.
