Fall Flowers

The chrysanthemum is fall’s favorite flower, and potted varieties are perfect for outdoor decorating. They bloom abundantly in almost every color of the rainbow, including all of autumn’s favorites like yellow, gold, red, bronze, copper, and orange! Since mums are in-season, potted chrysanthemums will continue to bloom until winter. To create a more interesting outdoor floral display, mix your mums with other fall flowers and plants, like marigolds, potted kale, and croton plants. Just be sure to bring your fall flowers indoors before any frosty weather.

Pumpkins Galore

Fall wouldn’t be fall without pumpkins aplenty. Gather up a variety of pumpkins and gourds in all sorts of shapes, colors, sizes, and textures. Then create visually dynamic groupings along your steps, pathway, or on either side of your front door.

There are endless ways to incorporate pumpkins in your outdoor autumn display. Instead of carving, we recommend leaving pumpkins fully intact to ensure they last the entire season. You can decorate them with fun patterns, spray them metallic gold or silver, or even paint on festive pictures, using cute stencils of cats, bats, owls, and squirrels. If you have an upcoming party, paint your house numbers in bold on a few stacked pumpkins to help your guests find your house.

Festive Front Door

The focal point of any front porch decorations should always be the front door.
