One of the best concepts we here at Zeidler's Flowers have come across as relates to floral giving is the idea of giving flowers for a year, and trust us, we've seen a lot of creative giving. In this case, the lucky recipient is gifted a fresh bundle of seasonal blooms every month for all 12, a constant reminder of the sendee's love and affection. And this is the perfect time to begin at the start of the year. It's literally the gift that keeps on giving. Read More about All Year Long Give Gorgeous Flowers »

What cheers you up most when you're sick, aside from a good nap? Flowers, of course.
Here at Zeidler's Flowers we're well aware of the many benefits of fresh blooms on the mind, body and soul, and science backs us up. A 2008 study by the American Society of Horticultural Science found that hospitalized patients who have flowers or a potted plant in their rooms are less reliant on pain medication and have lower blood pressure overall when compared to their flower-less counterparts. Clearly, flowers offer a lot to people who are under the weather, from oxygenating the air to adding an element of nature to a room. Read More about Festive Get Well Flowers »

Setting a wintry scene inside your home can be lots of fun, especially when you consider how much spirited decor is available, both man made and fresh from the garden bed (or, given the time of year, hothouse). We at Zeidler's Flowers prefer decorating with the latter kind of decor, and insist on only one feature: our winter flowers must be bright!
Contrary to what many think, there are lots of winter bloomers, among them roses, amaryllis and lilies. Read More about Winter’s Festive Flowers »

Is there any plant more associated with the holidays than the red-for-days poinsettia? Not likely. This plant's color makes it the perfect fit for the season's palette, sure, but it's also the history of the poinsettia that plays a major role. After all, this delightful plant comes in white, pink, green, and even orange, too, so it's definitely not just about color.
Poinsettias come from Mexico, where legend holds that in the 16th century, an impoverished girl was instructed by an angel to place weeds on a church altar to honor Jesus' birthday. Those weeds blossomed into red leaves, and the tradition began. Read More about Paint Your Office With Poinsettias »

Thanksgiving is a time to gather with our loved ones and count our blessings, preferably around a table set with a feast. During the season of abundance, we love to pull out all the stops, offering the best from our kitchens and our hearts to those who have come to spend time with us. We want to decorate the house, light the candles and trim the tree, creating an atmosphere of warmth and comfort for all who enter our homes.
We at Zeidler's Flowers embrace the opportunity to help set the tone for you and yours this year, and there's no better way to do that than to offer you some beautiful centerpiece flowers. Read More about Beautiful Thanksgiving Centerpieces »

Are you traveling over hill and dale this Thanksgiving, or staying put? If it's the former, you're not alone. 50 million Americans went 50 miles or more last year to break bread with their friends and family. If it's "To Grandmother's house we go" for you and yours, you may want to consider one of our oldest gifting traditions: the host gift.
It's a lovely custom to offer a host a gift for their efforts, especially when those efforts produce a Thanksgiving feast. If you've lucked out of hosting duty this year, thank your lucky stars. But we at Zeidler's Flowers think you're also going to want to show your gratitude to your hosts. With flowers. Read More about Harvest Florals for the Host »
