The observance began as a way to honor Carl Rittner -  the founder of the Rittner School of Floral Design in Boston. It has grown to be a nationwide recognition of his innovative spirit and his legacy throughout the floral industry. There are many ways that our friends and family inspire us all year long. Each month of the year has an associated birthstone, and as we look forward to the next few months, the floral designers at Zeidler's Flowers thought we would share the precious and semi-precious stones that will inspire our designs over the coming year.
